Though the manuals that come with the product are much better than what FeelThere delivers, they contain still way too less information for my taste. So, does someone have access to a more "original" FCOM for this version of the A300 that he/she can share with me? I'm interested in something like PMDG's MD-11 manuals or what one can find at smartcockpit.com or at some public available sites (avsim.ru etc.).

I got an answer at avsim.com. Looks like the only way to get hold of a manual is to buy one from Essco.

Hi Andreas,

I checked on ESSCO and they have an FCOM indeed, 82USD is quite expensive but it is a large document off course.

But there's no description if the manual is really about the -200 series or the more modern glass cockpit variants. I try to get more informatio from Essco.

I have been able to obtain a Flight Manual of Eastern Airlines for USD15.00 from FLIGHT MANUALS - ON CD OR DOWNLOAD in .pdf format (CD version also available). It is not listed on the site so you have to contact the author by email to get it. It is specific to A300B4-103, A300B4-203 and A300B2-203 and consists of 743 pages. It includes:

  • Normal Operations
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Abnormal Procedures
  • Limitations
  • Flight Checks
  • Flight Training
  • Performance
  • Expanded Procedures
  • Description of all Aircraft Systems

Personally I found it quite useful for learning the A300.

Regards,

M.

Hi Mike,

I wasn't aware they sold it there, so yes that may be a good source!

The FCOM of A300-B2/B4/B2K is available for free download from Avsim Russia. You can find it here.
